Ascend 7 has a client whose web site usage we monitor on a monthly basis. We believe the statistics from this website provides great information about web usage in WA. Our client is the sporting association of a popular winter sport, played by men and women of all ages from juniors, seniors, veterans, and elite. In the association’s peak period (winter months), the site averages 50,000 visitors a month from 15,000 unique IPs.

Google dominance

We knew Google was popular, but we didn’t expect Google to so completely dominant as the preferred search engine for WA web users.

During the month of October 2011, our client’s site had 10,277 hits from Google. The next most popular search engine was Yahoo with 124, then AOL Search (6). Wow!
