Moving away from WordPress

WordPress is a blogging platform, not a content management system (CMS)
Lack of support - if the WordPress vendor's modules are discontinued or phased out, then the functionality of your website can be compromised
Specialist technology dependency - if you need or want to make substantial changes to your website you may need to know a specific language to style the content, such as PHP in the case of WordPress, or potentially some other proprietary information
